Georgia Gunite is a family-owned pool construction company! Founded in 1970 by J.B. Pearson, we have been proudly serving the southeast region of the U.S. for over 50 years. Our company has deep roots in the community and we are passionate about providing our customers with exceptional pool construction services.

The Evolution: From Gunite to Shotcrete
Gunite:
Gunite is a mixture of dry cement and sand, combined with water at the nozzle just before being sprayed onto a framework of rebar. Known for its robustness and versatility, Gunite has been a traditional choice for pool construction, allowing for various shapes and strong structural integrity.
Shotcrete:
In the early 2000s, we made a strategic shift to Shotcrete, a close relative of Gunite but with a slight difference in the mixing process. Shotcrete involves pre-mixing dry ingredients before adding water, resulting in a wetter mixture. This method enhances the workability of the material, allowing for more precise application and a smoother finish.
